The Grand Gift from the Pen

A book is a gift you can buy in a store,
You wrap it up and take it next door.
But giving a book is a much different delight
When you’re the author looking so bright.

For stories and thoughts that once lived in your head
Now march across pages where eager eyes can tread.
They travel through hearts and wander the mind,
Leaving small treasures and truth sparks behind.

And oh, what a joy. What a marvelous look,
When someone unwraps your very own book.
They’re holding the dreams that you labored to frame—
Your ink and your prayers and your whispers of flame.

But sweeter still… oh… there’s a greater surprise
When heaven has helped with the words you devise.
When lines that you wrote feel guided from above,
With wisdom and mercy and echoes of sweet love.

Then sharing that book is much more than a gift—
It’s lighting a lantern to help spirits lift.
Words from the Lord have a wonderful way
Of brightening a path in the heart’s cloudy day.

So hand people the pages you prayerfully wrote.
You’re passing along more than ink on a note.
A book is no big deal—or so people might say—
Unless God helped write the words along the way.
